Sofas

The best sofa set in Malaysia depends on your household’s needs, room size, and maintenance preference. For homes with pets or young children, a washable leathaire sofa can make daily cleaning easier. For buyers who prioritise maximum comfort, goose down feather sofas provide a softer, sink-in feel. For smaller condominiums or apartments, a compact 2-seater or 3-seater sofa can help keep the living room comfortable without overcrowding the space.

MUMU Living carries sofa models across leathaire, washable fabric, genuine leather, chenille, velvet, goose down feather, recliner, sofabed, and sectional categories, with prices starting at RM1,169.

At MUMU Living, sofa prices start at RM1,169 for compact models and go up to RM6,999 for selected premium recliner or leather sofa designs. Most 3-seater sofas fall within the RM2,000 to RM4,000 range, depending on size, material, and construction.

Genuine leather sofas, goose down feather sofas, recliners, and larger sectional sofas are usually priced higher because of the upholstery material, seat structure, and size. Selected sale items may also be available with discounts depending on current promotions.

MUMU Living sofas are available online at mumuliving.com, with delivery across West Malaysia and Singapore. Customers can also visit MUMU Living showrooms in IDCC Shah Alam, Rain Tree Rain in Segambut, Kuala Lumpur, and Permas Jaya, Johor Bahru.

Visiting a showroom is recommended for sofa purchases because it allows you to test the seat depth, cushion firmness, upholstery feel, and overall size before deciding.

A Leathaire sofa is made from a nanotech fabric that looks and feels like leather or velvet but offers extra benefits. It is more durable, highly resistant to wear and tear, breathable, easy to clean, low maintenance, and eco-friendly, making it a practical and stylish choice for modern Malaysian homes.

For most condo apartments, a 3 seater with a length of 210–270 cm is ideal. You can also choose a sofa bed that is shorter in width but offers more flexibility when there are more guests. MUMU Living’s range includes compact designs perfect for apartments and condos.

Consider your room size and seating needs. Most condo apartment configurations are suitable for 3-seaters. For larger condos or landed properties, you may consider a 3-seater with an armchair or a 4-seaters with a footstool. MUMU Living provides all these options in various styles and fabrics.

Current sofa trends in Malaysia include washable upholstery, pet-friendly materials, chenille textures, modular layouts, sectional sofas, and goose down feather comfort. Many homeowners are also choosing sofas that are easier to maintain, especially for homes with children or pets.

For larger homes and open-plan layouts, L-shaped and sectional sofas are popular because they create a more defined living area. For apartments and condominiums, compact 2-seater, 3-seater, recliner, and sofabed options remain practical choices.

Look for top-grain calf leather, which is the upper layer of the hide and offers a strong balance of durability, comfort, and surface quality. Signs of a good quality leather sofa include consistent colouring across panels, natural grain texture, firm stitching, and resistance to peeling.

MUMU Living’s leather sofa range includes selected models such as Kansas, Debbie, Skylar, Dax, and Emery. To maintain leather sofas, avoid direct sunlight where possible and condition the leather regularly using suitable leather care products.

To keep a leather sofa in good condition: Avoid direct sunlight – this prevents cracking and fading. Clean stains with a damp cloth – use mild detergent if necessary. Condition the leather – apply a leather conditioner every 3 months to maintain softness and shine.

Use a fabric or upholstery dry cleaner: spray it on the stain, let it sit for 3 minutes, then dab the spot with a wet cloth. For stubborn stains that cannot be removed, such as wine or curry stains, it’s best to recommend a professional sofa cleaner.

Most recliner sofas are not suitable for condos because they require a gap between the sofa and the wall to recline. However, MUMU Living recliner sofas are designed to recline forward, so no gap is needed, making them ideal for smaller spaces.

L-shaped sofa: Best if you already know which side you want the chaise to be placed. It gives a fixed layout and a more structured look. Sofa with footstool: Ideal if you want flexibility, as you can move the footstool to either side to rest your legs or even use it as extra seating.
