Choose by Wardrobe Types

Open Wardrobes and Wardrobe Hangers

Open wardrobes have no doors, using open hanging rods and shelves for ventilated, easily accessible clothing storage. They suit frequent-access items, capsule wardrobes, and buyers who prefer a clean, minimal aesthetic without the bulk of a full cabinet.

Corner Open Wardrobe

The Baron is the only corner wardrobe in the MUMU Living range. It is designed to sit in an L-shaped room corner rather than against a flat wall, making use of space that a standard wardrobe cannot occupy. It is available in Dark Wood and Light Wood finishes.

Models include Baron Corner Open Wardrobe Dark Wood RM832 and Baron Corner Open Wardrobe Light Wood RM832.

2-Door Wardrobes

2-door wardrobes are the most compact closed wardrobe option at 0.80m wide. They are suitable for single-person storage, children’s bedrooms, guest rooms, or rental units. The Yolanda also comes in a 2-door with drawers variant for buyers who need folded item storage within the unit.

3-Door Wardrobes

At 1.20m wide, 3-door wardrobes offer more hanging space than a 2-door wardrobe while still fitting most medium-sized bedrooms. The Yolanda 3-door includes built-in drawers for additional folded storage.

4-Door and 5-Door Wardrobes

4-door wardrobes are the standard choice for couples and master bedrooms. At 1.57m to 1.67m wide, they provide substantial hanging space and are available with or without integrated drawers. The Colette 5-door at 2.00m is the largest wardrobe in the range, making it suitable for larger master bedrooms with more extensive storage needs.

Sliding Door Wardrobes

Sliding panels move sideways rather than swinging outward, so no floor clearance is needed in front of the wardrobe. This can typically save around 60cm to 80cm of walkway space compared to hinged doors. The Suru features a natural wood-panel finish for a warmer aesthetic, while the Dion and Jasie offer adjustable widths to fit different wall spans.

Wardrobes with Integrated Drawers

Wardrobes with integrated drawers allow you to store folded clothes, accessories, and smaller items without needing a separate chest of drawers. This is a practical space and cost saving for bedrooms that need both hanging and folded storage.

Minimalist Wardrobe Options for Contemporary Bedrooms

Compact and modern Malaysian bedrooms benefit from wardrobes that combine style with smart space usage:

Slim 2-door units and open-hanger wardrobes are ideal for smaller layouts.
Neutral tones and simple designs complement contemporary interiors, creating a light and uncluttered environment.
Functional features, such as adjustable shelves and efficient compartment layouts, make it easier to stay organised without sacrificing style.

Our minimalist wardrobe options are carefully selected to fit into modern homes, ensuring practicality meets elegance.

How to Choose the Best Designer Wardrobe

When selecting a designer wardrobe, it’s important to consider space, function, and aesthetics:

Room Size: Swing doors work well in larger rooms; sliding doors save space in compact bedrooms.
Storage Needs: Look for compartments, drawers, and hanging areas that suit your daily routine.
Style Preference: Finish options include natural wood tones, crisp whites, or sleek black for a modern look
Door Configurations: 2-door, 3-door, 4-door, 5-door or sliding-door wardrobes to suit various needs.
Ready-Stock Convenience: Curated designs available for fast delivery without long waiting times.

By evaluating these factors, you can select a designer wardrobe that supports everyday living while enhancing bedroom aesthetics.

Wardrobe Delivery, Assembly and Warranty

MUMU Living provides delivery and assembly support based on location, product type, and delivery conditions.

For West Malaysia deliveries, wardrobes are bulky items and are typically assembled on-site. MUMU Living charges RM80 per item for bulky item installation, based on the current assembly policy. Delivery fees, timelines, and free delivery eligibility depend on location, minimum spend, and delivery zone.

For East Malaysia LCL deliveries, furniture is shipped in flat-pack packaging for better protection during transit and lower shipping cost. Wardrobes sent through this route are not assembled before delivery.

Regular-priced MUMU Living furniture is covered by a 2-year warranty against manufacturing or mechanism defects from the delivery date. Clearance items carry a 1-year warranty. Full delivery, assembly, return, storage, and warranty conditions are available on MUMU Living’s policy pages.

FAQ About Wardrobes Malaysia

1. What is the best wardrobe for a minimalist bedroom?

A minimalist wardrobe should have a sleek design, neutral colours, and efficient storage options.

2. Can I get a wardrobe with a dressing table included?

Yes, you can get a wardrobe and a matching dressing table from MUMU Living. Most options are sold as separate pieces so you can mix and match by style, size, and finish. If you’re looking for a built-in combination, the best way is to check the product description and photos for any wardrobe model that includes an integrated vanity section.

3. What is the difference between a wardrobe and a wardrobe set?

A wardrobe is a standalone storage unit, while a wardrobe set includes additional furniture like dressers or bedside tables.

4. What are the features of MUMU Living’s wardrobes in Malaysia?

MUMU Living’s wardrobe range covers six main configurations:

Open wardrobes and hangers: Gina and Nordic.
Corner open wardrobe: Baron.
2-door and 3-door compact wardrobes: Wanda and Yolanda.
4-door standard wardrobes: Hailey, Olivia, Owen, Tavia, Hibino, and Colette.
5-door wardrobe: Colette 2.00m.
Sliding door wardrobes: Dion, Jasie, and Suru Wood.
Wardrobes with integrated drawers: Tavia with Drawers and Yolanda with Drawers.

Width options range from 0.80m to 2.00m, with corner and adjustable sliding door configurations available for non-standard spaces.

5. What is a wardrobe and dresser set?

A wardrobe and dresser set combines a clothing wardrobe with a matching dressing table, dresser, or drawer unit for a coordinated bedroom look. This gives separate spaces for hanging clothes, folded items, accessories, and grooming essentials.

At MUMU Living, these are purchased as separate pieces. Design families such as Colette, Tavia, and Olivia span wardrobes, dressing tables, and bed frames, making it easier to build a cohesive bedroom without the pieces clashing in finish or proportion.

6. Can I get wardrobe assembly when I order from MUMU Living?

Yes. Wardrobes are bulky items and are typically assembled on-site for West Malaysia deliveries due to entrance restrictions at most residential buildings. MUMU Living charges RM80 per item for bulky item installation, based on the current assembly policy.

For East Malaysia LCL deliveries, furniture is shipped in flat-pack packaging and is not assembled before delivery. Assembly scope and eligibility depend on location and delivery zone, so customers should check the policy page or contact the team before ordering if they have specific access requirements.

7. How do I maintain a designer wardrobe?

To maintain the finish and durability of your wardrobe, clean the wardrobe regularly with a soft dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid slamming doors, overloading shelves or hanging rods, exposing the wardrobe to direct sunlight or excess humidity, and modifying the structure without professional advice.

If the wardrobe has sliding doors, keep the track channel clean and free of dust for smoother movement. A soft brush or vacuum along the track every few weeks is usually enough. For wood-finish surfaces, avoid harsh chemical cleaners that can strip the finish over time.

8. Are there wardrobes suitable for small bedrooms?

Yes. MUMU Living offers compact wardrobe sets designed specifically for small bedrooms, maximizing storage without taking up too much space.

For compact bedrooms, the most practical options are 0.80m 2-door wardrobes, such as Wanda RM1,120, Yolanda RM1,476, and Hibino RM1,690. These fit along a single wall without dominating the room.

Open wardrobe hangers such as Gina RM241 and Nordic RM349 are the most space-efficient options if you prioritise accessibility over concealment. If floor space in front of the wardrobe is limited, a sliding door wardrobe removes the swing clearance requirement entirely.

For an L-shaped corner, the Baron Corner Open Wardrobe makes use of space a standard wardrobe cannot reach.

9. How do I choose a wardrobe for a modern bedroom?

Measure your wall space and check door clearance before choosing a configuration.

As a general guide:

2-door wardrobe 0.80m: Suitable for compact rooms or single-person storage.
3-door wardrobe 1.20m: Suitable for medium bedrooms with moderate storage needs.
4-door wardrobe 1.57m–1.67m: Standard choice for couples or master bedrooms.
Sliding door wardrobe: Suitable when swing clearance is limited.
5-door wardrobe 2.00m: Suitable for large master bedrooms.
Wardrobe with integrated drawers: Suitable if you need folded item storage within the unit.

For integrated drawer options, consider Tavia with Drawers or Yolanda with Drawers.

10. What are the benefits of buying a wardrobe set for my bedroom?

A coordinated bedroom wardrobe arrangement, such as pairing your wardrobe with a matching dressing table, bed frame, and bedside table, helps the room feel intentional and visually balanced.

At MUMU Living, design families such as Colette, Tavia, and Olivia span multiple bedroom categories. This makes it easier to choose furniture pieces that share finishes, proportions, and design details without manually matching separate products from different brands.
